Love Month. Day 6: Glam Polish Fantasy Trio: Mei Mei's Signatures Exclusive.

I have a new trio by Glam Polish to share with you today. This is the Fantasy Trio, and it is exclusive to Mei Mei's Signatures (one of Glam Polish's overseas stockists).

The trio features two light-coloured creamy glitters, and one dark jelly glitter.

Out of this World is a light blue/grey base with pink, silver and turquoise glitters. A little sheer on the first coat, but the second built up nicely. I definitely feel like my collection is lacking these blue-grey colours so this one is a nice addition to my stash.

She is Elusive is a super dark purple jelly with a fine gold flake glitter and also some very small holographic glitter. This one is also a little sheer on the first coat, but the second coat builds it up. I love this so much! It's flippin' beautiful!

Unreachable has black, white, pink and gold small glitters, plus a gold shimmer, in a pink toned nude base. Lovely to apply, and opaque in two coats. It kind of reminds me of cookies & cream, haha.

This trio is now available from Mei Mei's Signatures here (at the time of writing, the trio is out of stock but should be back in stock soon). You can also buy them separately if you don't want all three.

Dandelions. {Nailz Craze plate NC01}

I have my last Nailz Craze stamping plate to show you today. I've absolutely loved using them. They're amazing quality.

This is plate NC01. It has some awesome butterfly wing images, a peacock feather, hearts, something that looks like a four-leaf-clover (but perhaps they're just supposed to be hearts too), and a cute dandelion.
I decided to use the dandelion image for my manicure. My stamping isn't great for this manicure so please excuse that. I used Ulta3 Black Satin to stamp with, and my Winstonia Stamper and Scraper.

Polishes used: Essie Bikini So Teeny, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Ulta3 Black Satin.
I added some of these cute little black star glitters to the base of the nail. I bought them from Cherry Poppin' Nails.
The inspiration for this manicure came from Marta/ChitChat Nails. I loved what she did with this plate, here.
I've adored using the Nailz Craze stamping plates, and I think that if you like stamping or even want to try it, these plates are great. They have some of the cutest designs I've seen on stamping plates!

Love Thy Polish: A Very Snowy Trio {Swatches & Review}

Hi everyone!
Well, I am living up to my blog name right now. My nails are nubs. Just when I got them to the perfect shape and length, I went on a crazy filing spree. I had a job trial, and I'd most likely be working with my hands a bit so I decided to file my nails as short as I could go. I then shaped my nails round again - do not even ask me why I keep doing that, knowing that I don't like it - then I decided the next day that I didn't like it and went back square. I didn't have much nail to work with either, so now my nails are insanely short... Woops! So please just excuse the nubbies. Anyway, enough about that.

I have the A Very Snowy Trio from Love Thy Polish to show you today! This is Emma's Christmas trio for this year. :) This trio is based on snow, as you may have guessed. I don't know a lot about snow because, well, I've never seen snow. Haha. Anywho. Let's get into the swatches, shall we. :)

Plowed is a holographic dark grey {with a blue sort of undertone to it}. I love Emma's holos. :D
The formula on this was lovely, and quite opaque. I always find that Emma's holos dry quite fast {in a good way!} and this one was no exception. :) In my light box the holo wasn't very visible at all, but in the sun it was a little more visible. It definitely does look more holo in the bottle, though.
I used 2 coats + 1 coat of top coat for my swatch.

Sitting Pretty is a very dark chocolate brown jelly base with small white glitters and a subtle holographic shimmer. This one was a little sheer but easy to apply. It was pretty much opaque in 2 coats but I decided to do 3. :) This was suuuuper sparkly in the sun but I couldn't capture it. :(
I used 3 coats + 1 coat of top coat for my swatch.

Snowflakes Falling has small silver holographic & blue square glitters in a clear base. Great glitter payoff in just one coat!
I used 1 coat of Snowflakes Falling layered over black + 1 coat of top coat. :)

These 3 colours are very unique for a Christmas collection! I really like it. All 3 polishes could be worn any time of the year which is great because sometimes it can seem a little pointless to have polishes that you would ONLY wear one day / time of the year.

The A Very Snowy Trio will be available this Saturday, the 30th of November {at 10am South Australia time}.

The prices will be:
$6.50 for an 8mL mini {holos $8.50}
$9.50 for 12mL full size {holos $12}

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Mirror of Dawn {Swatch & Review}

Hi ladies! Happy weekend. :D
Just want to let you know quickly, for those of you who follow me on Instagram, I may be absent {from uploading at least} for some amount of time. I have no idea how long, hopefully no longer than a week or two at the absolute maximum, but I hope it'll be much sooner than that. I messed up my phone and I'm so devastated. I can still check Instagram on my laptop but can't upload. So for any updates please follow me on Twitter, or my Facebook.

Anywho, today I have a new holographic polish to share with you from Femme Fatale Cosmetics! She has released a whole collection of amazing holo polishes.

This is Mirror of Dawn. It's a grey holographic with a strong gold sheen. It was super easy to apply, it glided on effortlessly! It also dried pretty quickly, and was opaque in two coats.

I usually would not pick a colour like this, but I love this! It's more unique than a regular silver holographic, since it is more of a 'gunmetal' colour and it has that pretty gold sheen.

And guess what guys?! Recently, Femme Fatale has made international shipping available for a trial period! This is so exciting for my overseas readers! :) Shipping is a little on the expensive side, however, so it would work out best to purchase in a group buy with your friends or something like that. :)

Note: I'm thinking of re-swatching this colour in a few weeks when my nails have grown out a bit. :)

Thanks for visiting ♥

Love Thy Polish Halloween Duo

Hi ladies!
I have two polishes by Love Thy Polish to share with you today. This is their new Halloween duo, which will release on the 21st of September. I'm excited to see Halloween polishes start to be released and previewed! Halloween isn't a big thing here, but the polishes that come out around this time are always really fun and exciting. :)

Love Thy Polish Swamp Monster

Swamp Monster is a clear base with electric lime green large glitters, as well as micro glitters in the same colour, and black small glitters. This polish would look good over almost any colour!
The glitters in this one were also a tad hard to get out, they tended to slip off the brush.
I layered 1 coat over Picture Polish Flirt + a coat of top coat.

Love Thy Polish Zombie Brains

Zombie Brains is a grey jelly base with hot pink circle glitters as well as smaller ones, small white glitters and micro black glitters. I love this polish because it's Halloween-y, but the pink glitters make it girly! :) I absolutely love pink and grey together.
I stored the bottle upside down for a while before I used this because the larger glitters were a little hard to get out but not impossible.
I used 2 coats + a coat of top coat.

Sweet Tips Nails Review

Sweet Tips Nails is an indie nail polish brand from Canada! Jen makes super cute glitter polishes as well as nail/body care products! I have 5 polishes to show you as well as 2 of their care products. :) There's quite a few photos in this post so let's jump right in. :)

Bouquet For Mom is a clear base with a mix of green, purple, white, red and yellow glitters, including hearts and flower shaped gitters! The shapes weren't difficult to pick up at all, it's packed with them! :) This is absolutely adorable! It would be so perfect for spring time which is coming up next month here. :D
I layered 1 coat over Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet + top coat.

Arcane Dreary Days

Hi guys! I have my first polish from Arcane, an Aussie indie brand made by Bec @ NailGunXS, to show you today! I've had my eye on a couple of her polishes lately but haven't been able to pick any up till recently. I bought this one through Femme Fatale Cosmetics because they stock Arcane now. :)

This is Dreary Days. I think this was one of the first polishes Bec ever made. It's a dark grey (leaning on the blue side) base with black and lavender small glitters in it. I like that the glitters are small but still pretty.

The base was a little sheer on this, I thought it was going to take a ton of coats to build up, to be honest but t was pretty opaque at 2 coats. I used 3 to be sure (with top coat). I think the base needs to be thin on a darker polish like this though, so that the glitters show through.
This polish is a perfect winter shade for me because I'm really not a fan of super dark, almost black polishes but this is just the right tone of grey.

A lot of Bec's polishes would also be really great "work-appropriate" polishes for a lot of people who can't wear anything outrageous on their nails to work, or maybe if you just like a more subtle colour on your nails all the time. :)

Do you like really dark vampy polishes or do you prefer lighter, more grey based polishes like me for the cooler months? :)

Hope you have a great weekend!
