Gloss n Sparkle New Products {Swatches & Review}

Hi guys! I have some new shades from Gloss n Sparkle to share with you today! I haven't had any new Gloss n Sparkle colours in probably close to a year! How crazy is that?! The first indie brand I ever purchased from was Gloss n Sparkle, actually, back in the day when she released her first polish; the Spectraflair Top Coat. :)

Damsel in a Dress is a pink base with purple, pale pink and coral glitters.
Overall, the formula on this polish was nice but I did have to fish for the larger glitters a little and move them around once on the nail. But apart from that, it was great. Super cute & girly colour. :)
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat.

The Lotus Eater is a bright blue base with pink, purple, teal, blue and dark red glitters.
Awesome glitter payoff with this one! Again, a little nudging of the glitters to get them where I wanted was needed. This is such an awesome combination of glitters. Love!
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat.

Tonality is a clear base with black, white, silver holographic, purple , green and blue glitters in various shapes and sizes. I had a little trouble placing the glitters in this on the nail, they wanted to stick together haha. This is a pretty cool topper! You could layer it over practically any colour and get a really awesome look.
1 coat layered over OPI You're Such a Budapest.

Gloss n Sparkle has also recently released some new cuticle care products! They have a cuticle balm, that you can purchase in either a 5g lip balm-like twist-up tube, or in a 10g pot. I have the tube to review for you today (but I also purchased it in the pot form - I like some variety when applying cuticle products haha).
I love using a balm in a stick like this when I'm on-the-go because it's quick and easy to apply and you don't need to be dipping your fingers into a pot.

All these products are available now from Gloss n Sparkle's shop!

Rudolph Nail Art featuring B Squared Lacquer

I've been so busy lately, but I had to make some time to do some more Christmas nail art before the season is over. I have lots of ideas and lots of Christmastime polishes to use so I have to get a wriggle on!

Today I have a very quick & easy Christmas manicure to share with you, also featuring a new indie polish.

On all the nails except my ring finger, the base colour is Rimmel's Acid House which is one of the new-ish Kate Moss shades. It's a beautiful shimmery dark green.
Over the Rimmel shade I've used B Squared Lacquer's Glitzy which is a beautiful gold glitter! It has a whole bunch of different sizes and shapes of holographic gold glitter including stars. {I actually used one of the stars in this for the tree in my Christmas Cuties nail art.} I have more polishes from B Squared Lacquer to share with you very soon so keep your eye out for that! :D

For my little Rudolph, I used Rubi Taupe, Essence Red Ahead, China Glaze Winter Berry and Ulta3 Black Satin.

Let me know if you might be interested in a quick video tutorial for my Rudolph buddy. :) It's super easy but maybe somebody would like it.

I hope to show you the rest of the Christmas & New Years polishes from B Squared Lacquer before the end of this week! :) Stay tuned for that.

Glam Polish Dreamy Days Collection {Swatches & Review}

Hi guys! Happy weekend. :D Hope you have a great one.

I have some new polishes from Glam Polish to show you today. These are from the Dream Days collection which is available now.
So without further ado, here are four polishes from the collection.

Another Galaxy is a minty green base with indigo and aqua glitters, including stars and big circles.
Very nice formula on this one! Awesome glitter payoff and it was so easy to apply. The glitters just glide on the nail, very little dabbing required! I'm partial to any polish that has stars in it. :D
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat.

Cloud Atlas is a white base with pastel blue, pink and green circle glitters and blue micro glitters.
This one was a little tricky to work with but not awful. Just requires some dabbing of the glitters to get them where you want and to avoid them clumping together.
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat.

Day Dreamer is a clear base with purple, yellow and mint-y blue circle glitters as well as small glitters.
This required some dabbing of the glitters and moving them around, as circle glitters tend to want to clump together but overall it was pretty easy to apply.
I layered 1 coat over 2 coats of OPI Don't Burst My Bubble.

Sweet Escape is a blue-leaning pink base with purple and blue glitters, including big circles.
This one was a dream to apply, very smooth and VERY little dabbing required for the glitters! It also dried fairly fast which is nice for glitters like this because if you don't wait for them to dry before applying a second coat, you can drag the first layer.
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat.

The Dream Days collection is now available from Glam Polish's BigCartel store. There are 5 other polishes in the collection apart from the ones I have shown, and they all look gorgeous! :)

piCture pOlish Friday #4: 'Whimsy'

Hi there! I have the 4th and last piCture pOlish Friday for you today. :) You can see the other posts here: {1, 2, 3}.

Today I have Whimsy to show you. Whimsy is a collaboration shade with Neverland Nail Blog. {Gotta say - I had never heard of her blog until I searched it to do this post and I love it! Especially her Disneyland Engagement Photoshoot - HOW CUTE! That is like my dream come true.}

Whimsy is a beautiful baby pastel blue, with a strong green/gold shimmer through it. It applied beautifully. So smooth and lovely.

I was happy with the opacity in two coats, but it was a little patchy so I added a thin third coat. It was still a little patchy after the third coat, but it is such a beautiful colour that I don't mind. I love baby blues. ♥

So preeeeeeeeetty. :)

Thanks for reading my last PP Friday post! Don't forget to check out the other ones if you haven't seen them already!

And thank you sooo much piCture pOlish for sending me these four shades. ♥

Christmas Cuties ❅ {Nail Art}

I'm finding myself super busy lately, leaving me little time to do my nails at all, let alone do any nail art. But I recently made some time to crank out some cute Christmas nail art.

I've included lots of standard Christmas things in this manicure. Santa Claus, a snowman {although it doesn't snow here and I have never seen snow!}, a Christmas tree, a pudding and a Christmas jumper pattern!

My nail art skills are kind of rusty, so I made each nail pretty simple. {It may not look that simple to some, but I promise you, it really was. The whole manicure only took me about an hour to do. A normal one-colour-manicure usually takes me about 30 minutes for reference.}

Polishes used in this manicure:
  • Sinful Colors Rich In Heart
  • Ulta3 Lily White
  • OPI My Very First Knockwurst
  • China Glaze Winter Berry
  • OPI Big Apple Red
  • Ulta3 Black Satin
  • Essie Fear or Desire
  • Revlon Jaded Night
  • OPI My Favourite Ornament
  • China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright {'ornaments' on Christmas tree nail}
  • Rubi Shoes Taupe
  • Rimmel Acid House
  • B Squared Lacquer Glitzy {one star glitter used on Christmas tree nail}
Sooo, as you can see, I used a darn lot of polishes in this manicure. LOL.

Oh, and the weird red & green lines on the tip of the Snowman nail? That's supposed to be a scarf, k? ;)

On my thumb nail, I stamped over Sinful Colors Rich in Heart with Nailz Craze plate NC 03*, with Ulta3 Lily White polish. Despite Lily White not being completely opaque, it stamped pretty well!
I have had my eye on this stamping plate for a while because of this adorable Christmas jumper pattern image! A few stamping companies have similar images now but I think Nailz Craze was definitely one of the first to do it.
I used this squishy XL stamper from Winstonia to stamp with, by the way.
I have some more Nailz Craze plates to share with you soon {I cannot wait!}, and I'll probably use this one again in a full manicure because I love it so much. :)

Thanks for visiting, my lovelies. :D I hope I have some time to do more Christmas nail art before Christmas is here but I'm not sure if I will. I have a lot of posts planned & a whooooole lotta swatching to do!

KBShimmer 'Myth You Lots'

KBShimmer is a brand I'd never really been that interested in until recently. I'd seen their polishes around many times but none of them really called my name; and I had no idea where I could buy them from anyway.
Recently I started seeing their newest collection popping up everywhere. And I was suddenly like 'ok, I gotta get me some of these'. I saw their Winter collections swatched by Marta @ ChitChat Nails and immediately had to buy a couple. KBShimmer doesn't ship internationally so I grabbed them from Harlow & Co, polish distributor based in Canada that ships internationally. A lot of the polishes from the Multi-chrome and Multi-chrome Holo collections were sold out but I was able to grab two that caught my eye. These collections are ultra shifty multichrome / holographic amazingness. I bought one from either collection. I'll be showing you the Holo one today. :)

These are also the first nail photos I've taken on my new camera! They're not the best, so bear with me while I get used to my camera. :)

Myth You Lots is a multichrome holo that shifts from a purple-y blue to a burnt orange/gold, with perhaps a smidge of gold in there, with a linear holo sparkle.

I never used to be into duo/multichromes. About a year ago I probably would not have even looked twice at this polish but it's weird how your tastes change. I really like multichromes now, if they're a nice colour combination! I couldn't stop staring at my nails when wearing this colour! It looked like a totally different polish under every different lighting situation I was in! Sooooo cool.

I wore this polish for 48 hours. :o That rarely happens! It started to chip about halfway throughout the second day, though. So please excuse any chips you see in the photos!

Thanks for visiting. :)
