Guest Post: Shades Of Phoenix!

Hi guys! Today's guest post-er is the lovely Teneil from Shades Of Phoenix! She's the owner of the Shades Of Phoenix indie polish line. :) Teneil is a great girl and I'd consider her one of the best friends I've made while blogging & since starting my polish obsession :) You should definitely check out her blog & shop!

I'm also guest posting on Teneil's blog today! So be sure to head over & check out my post!

Without further ado, here is the lovely Teneil. :)

Hi everyone! Seeing as though Easter is almost here I thought I’d get out the pastels for an Easter inspired pastel-fest tutorial all about the cutest part of Easter…. BUNNIES! I don’t usually do much for Easter (other than have an excuse to eat my own weight in chocolate) but I do love the memories from when I was a kid. Unfortunately when you become an adult egg-hunts and Easter bonnet making is no longer acceptable, so I’m going for the next best thing, nail art!
Step 1: First apply your base coat and a simply darker shade pastel polish. I've gone with Face Of Australia – Castle On A Cloud.
Step 2: Choose 5 other pastel colours that you wish to use and on each finger use a separate colour to paint a dome or half circle on the tip on the nail.
Step 3: With a dotting tool, create two ears on each half circle in the matching colour.
Step 4: Using a white polish and the dotting tool again, create the white parts in the middle of each ear. This could alternatively be done with a white striper as well.
Step 5: Using the same technique as step 5 but with black polish, create sleeping bunny eyes on each of the half circles.
Step 6: Last step, is of course the most important – apply your top coat! And you’re done. Fie sleeping pastel Easter bunnies.
The polishes I used were:
Face Of Australia – Castle On A Cloud (Grey)
Face Of Australia – After Dinner Mint (Green)
Face Of Australia – Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy (Yellow)
Face Of Australia – Would You Like Some Orange Sherbet? (Orange)
Face Of Australia – Have Your Cupcake & Eat It Too (Pink)
Face Of Australia – Boys ‘n’ Berries (Blue)
Sinful Colors – Snow Me White (White)
Ulta3 – Black Satin (Black)

This mani is super easy and really does not take that much time so can be done just in time for that Easter lunch with the family to show off. And trust me the younger members of the family will think you’re a genius! I know my little sister will love this when I show her over Skype. I hope you all have a lovely and chocolate filled Easter, I know I will be busy packing to move house! So have some chocolate for me ;)
