I have a little haul post to share with you today. I wanted to show you this haul because I'm waiting for my little nubby nails to grow out a bit as you probably already know. I did some shopping for beauty products recently and thought I would show you what I picked up. This stuff is all from Priceline, Chemist Warehouse or Foodland. :)
Maybelline Dream BB Cream
I was in need of a new lighter coverage foundation, and Maybelline was 50% off at Chemist Warehouse, so I decided to give this BB cream a try. I've only worn it a couple of times so far, but I really like it. I'll give you an update some time soon if you're interested.
I don't purchase foundations or BB creams very often at all. Maybe twice a year, but not even because I ran out, usually it's just because I want to try something new. I usually wear only concealer and powder, because I don't like how heavy foundation can feel, but I like that this Maybelline one feels nice and natural on my skin. I have dry, sensitive skin if anyone is curious. I've heard that this BB cream is not great for anyone who has oily skin.
Maybelline Color Whisper 'Who Wore It Red-er'
I got this lippie in the same sale as the BB cream above. I love these lip butter type of lip products! So when the Color Whispers came out here I was really excited to try them. Whenever I buy lip colours I always end up leaning towards the red-ish or berry colours. I really like this one, but I don't think it's quite warm enough weather to wear a colour like this just yet. It's fairly bright, I couldn't really get it to pick up properly in my photo. I really want to try some more of the Color Whispers, but most of the colours seem to pale for me to wear.
I've wanted to buy this stippling brush from Real Techniques for a while, but they're pretty pricey, so I never bought it. But I finally decided to bite the bullet when I saw that it was on sale, and you guys, I am so glad I did! It's so amazing. The first time I used it, I was amazed at how nice my makeup looked! I didn't know that a brush could make such a difference but it can! I really want to try some more brushes from Real Techniques now, so if you have any that you love, please let me know! Other than this brush, I only own a BYS Kabuki brush and a random blush brush.
I repurchased my favourite makeup wipes. :) If you read my first Empties post, you'll have seen that I used up a couple packs of other makeup wipes that I didn't like. These are a little more expensive than some wipes, but they're the only ones that work really well for me and don't upset my skin.
Essie Play Date & Bikini So Teeny
Priceline recently started selling Essie polishes, and they had an introductory offer for $12.95! Now, for anyone who lives in the US, that probably sounds like a lot to you. But hear this - the regular price is $16.95, and the RRP at Myer was $18.95, so with that in mind, $12.95 is a pretty good deal. I was really hoping that Priceline would do some sort of deal on Essie and I hope they continue to do deals every now and then, because $16.95 is still pretty expensive.
Anyway, I picked up Play Date & Bikini So Teeny. You guys have no idea how excited I was to find these colours! I didn't think Priceline would stock any colours other than the core line! I grabbed the last ones of both polishes on the stand. I already had a mini bottle of Bikini So Teeny, but I used it all up so I decided to purchase a full size. I don't wear a lot of purples (besides very light pastel purples) but I've wanted Play Date since it came out. I hope I like it on my nails!
I actually paid full price for Bikini So Teeny before they went on sale, but I wanted it so bad that I'm not cringing too much. I also haven't bought many polishes in the past couple of months so.. :)
Hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you would be interested in seeing more haul posts every so often {once a month?}.
Thanks for reading, have a great day. ♥
I love the Simple line!
