Bridal Nail Idea #1

Over the next couple of months I am going to be bringing you a few posts {ok, more than a few} about all things nails for weddings!
My wedding is coming up quickly so I am trialling some different polishes and nail looks so that I can pick the perfect one for the big day! :) Because you know, the nails are the most important part, right?! ;)

Today I'll be sharing my first option for bridal nails. I actually wore this manicure when I went to look at dresses! :D

This manicure is a simple glitter gradient. Easy to do, but gorgeous and looks like you tried harder than you actually did.
For the base colour I used OPI Don't Burst My Bubble, which is a white-leaning pink jelly. I used three coats.

Over that, I created my glitter gradient with Savvy by DB's Razzle & Dazzle. I have a glitter gradient glitter tutorial video which you can see here if you are interested. :)
These types of glitters are really popular at the moment and you can find them in a few different brands. I'm sure they'll start popping up everywhere soon.

I really like this look. It's very girly and feminine. And it's glitzy without standing out too much. I think if I did this again, I would use a sheerer base colour {or just less coats}.

What do you think of this manicure? :)
I can't wait to share more bridal looks with you guys! I have many more ideas in mind!

PS. As you may have noticed, my square nail shape is back. But after I took this manicure off I actually went back rounded because I missed it! Sorry if any of you really prefer my square nails. I'm just loving the roundies at the moment. :)

Try It On Tuesdays! Essence Nude or What? and Savvy Razzle & Dazzle

Hi guys! I have another Try It On Tuesday to share with you today! :) You can check out my first TIOT post here. (I skipped last Tuesday because... Well I forgot about it until Tuesday was almost over to be honest LOL).

PS. Did you miss my #ppblogfest2013 mani yesterday? If you want to vote for me, please click here and fill out the form! You could even win something for yourself just for voting! Thank you so much. ♥

Today I'm going to show you a mani I wore maybe last month? I have had it sitting in my untried folder for at least a month and I thought I should probably finally post it, or it'll sit around forever.

This mani is actually from my RIGHT HAND. :O I wore this on my right hand, with this mani on my left! Sometimes I just can't decide what polishes to wear, ok! :P

The main colour in this mani is Essence Nude or What?. It's a very greyed-out purple creme. It tends to just look grey in most lighting, unless you're in the sun or have your hand under a lamp, haha. It does look a bit more purple in real life, in my photos it turned out rather grey.
This is not nude at all in my eyes. I do not know why they called it that haha. This polish is from the Season of Extremes collection which came out here almost a year ago and I have had this polish sitting there waiting to be worn since then!
I wasn't really thrilled with the formula on this. It was fairly thick but a bit streaky too. And the brush wasn't very nice either. But hey, it's a cheap polish. What can you expect for $3.50 lol. I still do really like the colour. It's nice for this time of year.

On the ring finger I've used Savvy's Razzle & Dazzle which is one of the new polishes they released recently. This is similar to A England She Walks in Beauty. :) I don't have She Walks in Beauty, but from the swatches I've seen they're dupes. I actually hated the look of She Walks in Beauty when I first saw swatches. I thought it looked ugly and sheer but then when I saw the Savvy dupe in person I knew I needed to get it. If I hated it, it was only $3. No big loss. ;) But I love it! It's super shimmery and pretty. I did 3 coats and while it's a sheer polish and would be nice for layering, it gives a pretty shimmery opaque look on its own! The formula was nice.

Remember to check out Dani / From Polish With Love's Try It On Tuesday post today! :)

By the way, I'm planning on doing more nail art soon. I feel like I haven't done much nail art at all recently and I really want to do some. If you have any requests or suggestions for me, let me know! :) (Nothing too difficult though ok? ;) Haha I don't have the patience for detailed, difficult nail art.)

AN Monday - Pink ♥

Hey guys! :) I hope you had a nice weekend (or are still having a nice weekend, if you're here in Aus and have a long weekend hehe).
Today for AN Monday, the theme is pink! :D

I didn't have a whole lot of time to put something together so I just went with an easy glitter gradient and holo accent nail. :) I used all polishes from my untrieds basket too! ;) (Ok I have multiple boxes to hold my untrieds. Don't judge)
My base colours are Savvy by DB's Strawberry Punch and Color Club's Miss Bliss.
Strawberry Punch is a gorgeous strawberry pink creme. Great formula for such a cheap polish too! :) I'm sure you all have heard about Color Club's Miss Bliss, which is a pink holographic. I LOVE this so much. ♥
For my glitter gradient, I used a MUD polish (MUD is a polish/makeup brand you can find in Woolworths in Aus - super cheap, I think the same people who own Ulta3, own this brand too) called Pixie Dust. I didn't realise until I actually started using it, that this polish has a SLIGHTLY tinted base... I'm guessing maybe the glitters bleed a bit? It's not that noticeable really, but if I looked closely I could tell that the base is slightly tinted. Anyway, it's a dark rose pink glitter. And it's quite a sparse glitter so it's not the best for a gradient.
I have a glitter gradient tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel if you're interested in seeing how I did the gradient. :)

Have a great day/morning/afternoon/evening. :) ♥
