Catch Up!

Hey guys! I'm so sorry I've been absent this week. It feels weird to not post every day! I've said it in almost every post recently, but the weather here just sucks right now so on the days when I do wear a manicure or want to swatch polishes (which I do have quite a few I need to swatch right now) I just can't take any photos because of the terrible weather.
I have shown a few manicures on Instagram, however. Follow me there for some behind the scenes funsies and manis that I don't always share here. I thought I'd show you some of them today. :) As well as some that may not have been on Instagram. Usually these are more boring manis or colours that I've already shared before.

This is a Mixcoco gel nail polish that I tried recently! I fell in love with it & the concept of gel polish. Beautiful creamy colour. Perfect palate cleanser! I may do a review on the gel polish soon. Let me know if you're interested.

OPI's Every Month is Oktoberfest is one of my favourite dark polishes. It has an amazing glowy shimmer in it which you can see in the flash photo. I don't often wear darks because I just feel like they look strange on me! But for some reason when my nails are round, I like darks? I kept my nails this rounded shape for like, less than 24 hours, FYI. :P I missed my squares too much. I left my right hand rounded, though.

Lime Crime's Milky Ways is a very similar colour to the Mixcoco gel polish I wore! I just think these colours are a nice palate cleanser and are just easy for a quick mani.

My fave neon - China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy! In real life this is super neon and sooo fun! :D Sadly, it chips insanely quickly.

Another neutral. OPI Don't Burst My Bubble is a sheer white with a hint of pink to it. I love this colour, but not so much on me. In this photo it looks fine, but in person it looked a little weird against my skin tone.

That's about all for today! Let me know if you'd like to see these types of posts every so often! Maybe once a month. (By the way, I also now have a Disqus comment system instead of the regular Blogger comment system. It's better IMO because if I reply to a comment, the other person will get a notification email. :))

OPI Bond Girls Skittles!

Hey guys! I was messing around with my new OPI Bond Girls mini set I bought and thought I'd show you a mini swatch & review. :)

I'll go in order from pointer to pinky!

Jinx - 2 coats
Jinx is a bright coral with the most gorgeous golden shimmery glitter! I think it's glitter anyway... It looks more shimmery than glittery to me... But anyway, this one's absolutely gorgeous and if I can I will absolutely be getting a full size because it's amazing. This would definitely be AMAZING to wear in the warm weather! I haven't tried Liquid Sand on my toes but I could see myself wearing this one on my toes, too.

Vesper - 3 coats
On my middle finger is Vesper. It's a very dark purple base (think OPI Lincoln Park After Dark.. except perhaps one shade lighter) with what looks to me like a black textured glitter. This one is definitely not glittery or shimmery like the rest of the OPI Liquid Sands. It still has a TEENY bit of a shimmery look under the light but it is definitely more of a matte textured look than the others.
This was the one I was least excited about in the set but once I had it on my nail I really liked it. I'm not usually into dark polish, but this one I enjoy.
3 coats.

Pussy Galore - 2 coats
I cringe every time I say/type the name of this polish lol. I know it's a Bond Girl name but it makes me feel weird lol! Coulda picked another Bond Girl, OPI. :P
Anyway, it's a frosty pale pink base with a bit darker pink textured glitter. I thought I wouldn't really enjoy this one since it does have that frosty look in the bottle but on the nail when the texture dries down, you don't really see the frostiness and I love it! I wore this one as a full manicure last week so I'll include a couple of photos of it.
2 coats.

Solitaire - 3 coats
On my pinky (and thumb), is Solitaire. It's similar to Pussy Galore. It has a white frosty base with silver glitters. Although I hate frost finishes, I was pretty excited about this one because I think it'll make a nice accent nail! :)
So some of the Liquid Sand polishes are more opaque than others. I found Jinx and Pussy Galore only needed 2 coats, but Solitaire and Vesper needed 3.
I love the Liquid Sand/textured finish polishes sooo much. I can't get enough of them! I'm not sure if I like the idea of every new collection being textured, though... I'll get sick of them real fast lol.
I'm dying to get Honey Ryder (from the Bond Girls collex also) next. I like the look of Tiffany Case also but I heard that it stains really bad so I can live without it lol. I also want to try some of the Zoya Pixie Dust polishes too.
I've never tried the Liquid Sand polishes with top coat but they aren't designed to be worn with top coat. If you want to top coat them, you'll need at least 2 coats of a super thick top coat like Seche Vite.
I took this photo while I was swatching these colours and posted it on Instagram. :)

Do you like the Liquid Sand finish? I adore it! :D I have 3 more textured polishes on their way to me right now!

PS. Have you checked out my GIVEAWAY?! :) Head on over and enter!
