KBShimmer 'Myth You Lots'

KBShimmer is a brand I'd never really been that interested in until recently. I'd seen their polishes around many times but none of them really called my name; and I had no idea where I could buy them from anyway.
Recently I started seeing their newest collection popping up everywhere. And I was suddenly like 'ok, I gotta get me some of these'. I saw their Winter collections swatched by Marta @ ChitChat Nails and immediately had to buy a couple. KBShimmer doesn't ship internationally so I grabbed them from Harlow & Co, polish distributor based in Canada that ships internationally. A lot of the polishes from the Multi-chrome and Multi-chrome Holo collections were sold out but I was able to grab two that caught my eye. These collections are ultra shifty multichrome / holographic amazingness. I bought one from either collection. I'll be showing you the Holo one today. :)

These are also the first nail photos I've taken on my new camera! They're not the best, so bear with me while I get used to my camera. :)

Myth You Lots is a multichrome holo that shifts from a purple-y blue to a burnt orange/gold, with perhaps a smidge of gold in there, with a linear holo sparkle.

I never used to be into duo/multichromes. About a year ago I probably would not have even looked twice at this polish but it's weird how your tastes change. I really like multichromes now, if they're a nice colour combination! I couldn't stop staring at my nails when wearing this colour! It looked like a totally different polish under every different lighting situation I was in! Sooooo cool.

I wore this polish for 48 hours. :o That rarely happens! It started to chip about halfway throughout the second day, though. So please excuse any chips you see in the photos!

Thanks for visiting. :)

ANMonday - Metallic {Indie Month}

Hi friends! Happy Monday. Hope your weekend was awesome. :)

To finish up ANMonday's Indie Month, the theme is Gold / Silver / Black / White or another metallic colour. I only have one or two silver indie polishes and not many black / white ones, so I went with gold! :)

I went with a combo that I have worn before {and posted on Lissa's Polish Addiction} but loved it. The base colour I used is OPI Just Spotted the Lizard, which is my fiance's favourite polish of mine! I topped that with one coat of Eventide by Femme Fatale Cosmetics.

Eventide is a clear base with looooads of gold glitters in different sizes and shapes. There's also some pink glitters in there.

I absolutely love this combination. It's so blingy and perfect. :D

Thanks for visiting. ♥

Pretty Serious Naughty Night Shift Nurse

Hi guys! I have a polish to show you that is quite sought after. When it was gifted to Kristy, many people went crazy and asked Kaz & Ben of Pretty Serious if they would please make more of this polish for the public. A month or so back, Pretty Serious announced that they would have a limited number of Naughty Night Shift Nurse {NSNN} available to everyone. I was one who wanted it soo badly. The lovely Bec grabbed me a bottle when she bought hers. :) Thanks so much Bec!
There was a fair bit of drama that followed the launch of NNSN and I won't be talking about that here. If you'd like to know more, you can read the Pretty Serious posts here, here, here, and here. Pretty Serious are actually running a competition to win NNSN and 2 other limited edition polishes! If you'd like to enter you can check that out here.

Anyway, let's get into the polish, shall we?

By the way, I actually swatched this a few weeks ago so you may have already seen me post it on Instagram.

NNSN is hard to describe but I will do my best... It's a purple/blue {blurple?} to red duochrome base with orange-green flakies. You can build it up to opacity on its own with 3 coats but I layered 2 coats over OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark. It was fairly easy to apply, a little bit thick, but not bad.

Sadly, I didn't love this polish. I really wanted to. And I loved it in the bottle, but not as much on the nail. I think I may have liked it a bit more if I'd worn it on its own, rather than over a base colour. It's a little too frosty looking in the sun for my taste, and I'm not a huge fan of duochromes anyway. I do like it a bit more in the photos but in person I just didn't love it. Since it was so sought after and hard to get, I decided it would be better to pass it onto someone who will love it rather than have it sit in my Helmer collecting dust. So I have already passed this onto a more loving home. I'm sure my NNSN will feel more loved over there in her new home. :)

I know that many people will {and do} love this polish, however so trust me when I say that it's not a "bad" polish by any means. Just not really my taste is all!

Were you lucky enough to get your hands on a bottle of NNSN? What do you think of it?

Thanks for reading. ♥

My First Chanel! Peridot ♥

Hey guys!
Last week, a really sweet girl named Gemma so so kindly gifted me some of her unwanted polishes. I was so overwhelmed at how kind she was to just give away some of her polishes! Thank you so much Gemma. :)
One of the polishes she gave me was a CHANEL polish :D Can you believe it?! I was so excited to own my first Chanel! Ahh!
This is Peridot. You probably know that almost every company makes a dupe of this polish now and I do own the OPI version (Just Spotted the Lizard - if you want to see a swatch, I have a post on it on my old blog, here) but it's actually one of my favourite colours so I didn't mind owning the Chanel version too! :D It's also my boyfriend's favourite polish that I own! And I own a Chanel Peridot phone case sooo naturally I needed to have the polish too. :P
If you've never seen this polish before, which I doubt, it's a gold to green duochrome polish, that also flashes a little bit blue in the bottle but you don't see it much on the nail.
I'm so happy the sun made a brief appearance on the day I wore this so I could take a photo in the sun. It's really lovely and shimmery in the sun.
^ I blurred out the cap because it had fingerprint smudges all over lol! :/

Sorry if you see any air bubbles in my photos.. That was my top coat, Seche Vite. For some reason it was all bubbly. o.O I hadn't shaken it up or anything.

Thank you so so sooo much again, Gemma for your generosity and kindess. :)

I'm on Kelcie Talk!

Hey guys!
Today I'm guest posting for the lovely Kelcie, over on her blog Kelcie Talk! She blogs about fashion mostly, with some nail and life posts mixed in there. :) I absolutely love her style and the outfits she puts together, they're adorable. I first actually found Kelcie through her vlogs with her fiance on their YouTube channel which I love watching! And Kelcie also has a beauty channel which I love.

Here's a sneak peek of what I'm sharing over on her blog. Head over to her blog to see more of this mani. :)

Kelcie's also guest blogging for me this week so keep an eye out for that! :D I can't wait.

Lilypad Lacquer Karmeleon

Today I have a really cool polish to show you from Lilypad Lacquer! :D Lilypad Lacquer is a fairly new  Aussie indie brand (I think? Maybe just new to me) and they do mostly duochromes, neons and holographic finish polishes.
Today I have one of their duochrome glitters to show you!
Karmeleon is a clear base, with small glitters that shift from blue/purple/green. You see mostly purple/teal on the nail though. In the bottle you also see a bit of a gold which is soo pretty, I wish it showed up on the nail.
I layered 3 coats of Karmeleon over black and topped it with Seche Vite top coat.

I'm not a big duochrome girl. I hate frosty looking duochromes especially but I really enjoy this one because it's glitter! :D
This really is a cool polish! I couldn't stop staring at my nails when I had it on!
Here's a little video so you can see the colour shift! :)
If you're in Aus I definitely recommend you check out Lilypad Lacquer's store! They have sooo many polishes, you're sure to find something you like. :)
