Happy Saturday.

Happy Saturday morning everyone! {Or whatever day/time it is when you're reading this!} I hope your weekend is off to a great start.

I hadn't planned on posting a blog post today, but I just got the urge to write something. So here I am!

I'm pretty excited that it's the weekend! Saturday in particular. Saturdays are probably my favourite day. I love Saturday mornings! I don't really know why. I don't sleep in, I get up at the same time as I do every other day. Something about Saturday morning is just nice.
Saturday afternoons, we usually do our food shopping and then spend the rest of the day at home.
And then Saturday nights, my husband and I have a date night, which is always fun, no matter what we do! A lot of the time we just stay home and watch a movie {it's too cold go to out!}. So Saturdays are definitely my favourite!
What is your favourite day of the week?!

I just painted my nails this morning, and I felt like showing you {and my pretty Kikki.K in the background}! I've used Face of Australia "Jafar", a super dark, deep red {almost black!}, from their Dark Side collection. I absolutely love this collection.

I have to be honest, though. These are not my nails. They're actually fake glue-on nails. I was trying to grow out my nails to this length/shape but it was just not happening. And I got so impatient. So, I bought some glue on nails. I told myself I'd never wear fake nails after I had acrylics back in the day, but I really like these! I don't think they actually look very fake {my opinion - you may think otherwise}. I know they'll only last me maybe 5-7 days maximum, because by then they will probably look a bit gross, but that's fine with me!

I uploaded an updated look at my Kikki.K Lilac Planner set up on my YouTube channel the other day, if you're interested in seeing that!
I am absolutely loving my Kikki.K Lilac planner and I haven't moved out of it since I got it, which is weird for me. I can't even see myself moving out of it soon.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! ♥ Let me know what you're getting up to!

Hi friends!

Just a quick update to let you know that I am once again, having a nail polish sale! I have loads of nail polish to clear out and I thought I would post it here, as some of you may not follow on Instagram {by the way - I've changed my Instagram name! I am now @elissaplans. And yes, I've probably changed my name close to 10 times now. Shh! ;)}.

If you'd like to see a list of what I have available, please email me at: elissasinclair[@]hotmail.com, and I will send you the list!

There is a lot of polish, including brands like OPI, China Glaze, Essie, Orly, Picture Polish, Sally Hansen + many indie brands too! I'm practically giving them away! ;)

Update On Lissa's Loves

Hi everyone. I hope you have had a great weekend!

Today I want to talk to you guys about my blog, some FAQs and updates. Things have changed/are changing around here and I just want to update you and make sure everyone is in the loop!

I want to start by saying that this is no longer a nails only blog. My interests have changed over the last 6 months. I am no longer painting my nails every day (now it's only once or twice per week), and when I do, it's usually a boring colour like pink or red, and sometimes it's a very bad paint job too! I have thought about doing weekly or fortnightly posts sharing my recent manicures, however. If you're interested in seeing that, please let me know. I do usually share them on Instagram, though. I also want to say that my Instagram is not a 'nails-only' account. It's not a 'planners-only' account. I post what I want, when I want, which is the way it should be, I think! I post my personal life, as well as planners and nails, and more! If I were still painting my nails all the time, of course I would post them every day. :)
I'm really sorry to those who miss my nail posts. I understand how you feel as I've been disappointed when the blogs I love to read change or stop all together, but I don't want to solely blog about something that I'm not as passionate about anymore.
I won't be offended if you unfollow my blog if you're no longer interested. I've thought about starting a new blog all together, but I would post everything that I want to now (planners, stationery, organisation, lifestyle, occasional nails/beauty), so nothing would change apart from a new site, but I would really prefer not to start all over again. Let me know what you think about that. There are pros/cons to both options honestly.

I'm planning to do an overhaul of my blog (if I don't decide to move to a new blog) in the next week or two. I've just given it a new layout, bought from MintyFoxDesigns on Etsy. Usually I design my own layouts but I felt like using someone else's design for a change. :)

I also have some new series for my blog planned in the near future, which I think will be a lot of fun, so please be on the lookout for those! :)

If you have any questions at all about my blog, what's to come in the future, etc. I would be happy to answer, so please leave me a comment below.

Thanks so much for reading. Love you all. ♥

Update {I opened an ETSY shop!}

Hi friends! :)
I'm so sorry that things have been quiet over here for the last month. It's really hard to get back into the routine of blogging after the wedding hiatus. It's also hard to come up with new ideas. (Please let me know if you have anything you'd like to see on my blog! I'm open to suggestions!) I really want to get back into it, though. I miss blogging!
Anyway. Today I thought I'd update you on what's been going on lately!

Probably the most exciting thing that has happened lately, is that I opened an Etsy shop! It was a pretty quick decision. The idea popped into my head when I was shopping for craft supplies and I quickly asked on Instagram if anyone would be interested if I opened up my own shop, selling planner goodies and stationery. I got a great response so it was decided. I spent a whole weekend getting crafty and making loads of goodies.
So, last night I opened my shop, Made By Elissa. At this time I am only shipping within Australia, but I am looking into international shipping in the next couple of weeks. It shouldn't cost too much, either which is great news for my international friends!
I will be working on updating the shop about once a week with new goodies and I will post on my Instagram when I do. (Speaking of Instagram, I have a new account and am not using my old one anymore. Please follow the new one if you haven't already!)
This is a really exciting thing for me and I'm so happy I'm able to do this because it's something I really enjoy doing, and it will keep me busy!

The hubby and I have been married for about 2.5 months now. (What?!) Time is going so fast. It's crazy! We should have our wedding photos back soon which is really exciting. I can't wait to see them! I will probably do a wedding post when we get them and show you a bit of our day, so keep an eye out for that! :)
It's quite different, being married and adjusting to that, but it's also been really fun and it's so nice to be with my best friend all the time. :)

I'm still very much obsessed with planners. My collection seriously changes every week. I've been swapping & buying new planners and changing up my collection ALL the time as I find what works best for me. I love it and it keeps me organised which is very important, because otherwise I would get absolutely nothing done, and forget everything!

I've started making YouTube videos again! I changed my channel name to Elissa's Planners but all my nail videos are still there and will remain there. I've started uploading planner videos. So far I have two planner set-up videos, one (outdated) collection and a 'what's in my stationery/planner case' videos! I want to keep working on new videos so if you have any requests please let me know!

Thanks so much for reading, everyone! ♥
Don't forget to check out my shop, and if you have any blog/video requests, please let me know. :)

March Update.

Hi my loves.
I have an update for you about how things will be around here for the month of March (and April).

(source ? - If you know where this image is originally from, please let me know!)

As you most likely know (ok, no, you're probably sick of hearing about it by now #sorrynotsorry), I'm getting married next month. (OMG, NEXT MONTH. WUT.) So obviously, things will be a little quiet on here for a while.

I have no intention of quitting blogging whatsoever, but I do know that things won't settle down for at least a few weeks to a month after the wedding (April 12th). We're going away for about a week after the wedding, and then I'll probably need a few weeks to get settled into my new home and just hang out. So please bear with me during that time. :)

I'll still be around on Twitter & Instagram though (there's no way I could stay away, let's be honest), so make sure you are following me there for all the updates! That's where you'll probably get the first updates about the wedding also, so if you're excited to see pictures and stuff, it'll probably be there before anywhere else!
I'll still post NOTD photos over there of course (when I actually get a minute to paint my nails), as well as wedding related things and everyday stuff. :)

Please bear with me in this super exciting, busy time! I can't wait to get back to blogging regularly, and be able to show you all the pictures from our wedding but I will also enjoy having a little break. You best believe I will be spamming pics left, right and centre when I come back. ;)

Don't get me wrong, though! My blog won't be dead for 2 months. I still plan on posting once or twice per week for March. Then I will be away for most of April, and come back in May.

I'll miss you! ♥ Don't forget to follow me on my social media sites (which you can find in the right sidebar) to keep up with me while I'm "gone".

Love Month. Day 5: Wedding Planning Update.

Here is my long-awaited Wedding Planning Update post! I'm so sorry it took so long for me to get this finished. I know there were a few of you waiting for it, so I'm sorry about that. But here it is. :)

Our wedding is just over 2 months away! OH. MY. I really can't believe how quickly it's coming up!

Over the November-December period we put planning on the back burner as we were planning our engagement party, and then Russ moved into the unit we'll be living in, and then there was Christmas and everything so it was so busy.

January 1st marked 100 days until our wedding and we got stuck right into planning because that freaked us out, to be honest lol!

A couple of weeks ago, I designed a save-the-date and we started sending/giving out save-the-dates to our guests! I didn't really "publicize" our exact date online until I was 100% sure it was going to be the date. I made a simpler version of our save-the-date to show you guys! :)

{For you US girls and anywhere else that writes the date with the month first. We write the day first. So the date is the 12th of April, not the 4th of December. Haha, just thought I would clarify that.}

We booked our honeymoon! We are staying here in Australia as we've both never been overseas. And we don't want the stress of having to organize our first overseas holiday as well as wedding planning.

We also picked out our wedding rings! I'm super excited about that! I love the one I chose and I think it matches my engagement ring nicely. We picked them up from the shop last week and I so badly wish I could wear it now, haha. Can't wait to show you guys a picture after the wedding. :)

We started collecting some decorations for the ceremony & reception. I love what we've collected so far and I'm excited to see how it's all going to look together. We are having a backyard wedding so we're going for a bit of a laid back theme. If you check out my wedding boards on my Pinterest (yes - plural... I'm a bit obsessed) you can get an idea of the type of theme we're going for.

Oh and... I picked out my DRESS! :D
I finally went dress shopping a few weeks ago and I picked out my perfect dress. I did wait a bit long to go dress shopping, but I found a dress that I love. ♥
Now I need to find a pair of shoes (I really want to wear sandals) that will go with it... I also found a cute little clutch, and a pair of earrings that go with my dress. I don't really know what the 'norm' is with a clutch for the wedding day (like, who looks after it for the day...? I don't want to hold it all day lol!) though. If you can help me out, please do. Haha.
I feel like a noob when it comes to wedding stuff, to be perfectly honest. I've only been to a few weddings in my life. If you have any tips at all; stuff that I may not know, or think of, please please please let me know. I'd love to have a conversation with you in the comments, or you can tweet me. :)

Oh - I'm also having trouble deciding whether I want to have flowers, or not. Although flowers are obviously gorgeous, I can't help but think they are quite a waste of money because they'll just die. I'm not sure. So I'm looking into bouquet alternatives (for my bridesmaids mainly). I've found some really cute ideas online, but I'd also like to know if you guys have any suggestions! I'd be so grateful.

So, wedding planning is definitely a little stressful. But I am enjoying doing most of the planning myself (with the help of others, including my fiance, of course - I could never actually do it completely alone), and researching different things and finding inspiration.

If you have any questions, comments, or tips, PLEASE leave me a comment (or tweet me)! :) I would really love to talk to you guys about wedding related stuff!

Something new for 2014.

Happy New Year, friends! :) I hope you had a good time celebrating the new year.

You may be noticing some new things on my blog?! Yep, I have done a complete and total overhaul of my blog for the new year!

Although I adore nail blogging and do not plan on stopping, I have also been wanting to transition my blog to be more 'personal' and feature some more lifestyle-ish content. I tried creating my own personal blog a few months back but I found myself forgetting about it, and I didn't like juggling two blogs. So, I have decided to transition Ten Little Nubs into something totally new.

So welcome to my renamed blog, Lissa's Loves.
You may remember that this was the same name as my short-lived personal blog. I really liked it so I decided to move the name over here. :) I felt with a name like Ten Little Nubs, I was unable to do what I wanted with my blog as it was too 'nails specific', but now I can make it whatever I want it to be!
I also have my own domain name now, so you can now find my blog by going to lissasloves.com! I've always wanted my own '.com'! Sweet!

But don't worry, on this blog, you will still find mostly nail polish! I know that's what most of you are interested in seeing and I love blogging about polish so I have no plans to stop doing that. I'll also be featuring other beauty products, and well, anything.
I have added 3 new tabs to the top of my website, NAILS, BEAUTY, and LIFE. The 'nails' tab is obviously nails only, 'beauty' will be everything else girly/cosmetic related, and then 'life' is where you'll find pretty much everything else! This way it will be easy for you to find what you want to see.

I'm really super excited about this little transition, so I hope you are too.

Oh, and to go along with my new blog name, I have changed my Instagram account name to @lissasloves. My Twitter is also @lissasloves {but it's been that way for a while now}.

Wishing you all a happy 2014! ♥

My New Camera ♥ {Canon EOS 1000D}

After quite a long time of wishing I could have a DSLR camera, I finally have one. :D I bought a secondhand Canon EOS 1000D and although it's a slightly older model, that doesn't bother me at all because I know they can still take beautiful pictures. The camera arrived today and I was SOOOOO incredibly excited.

With the camera I got two lenses, a 18-55mm and a 75-300mm lens. I'm not a genius when it comes to DSLR photography; actually, I'm a noob so I can't tell you a lot more other than that. :P Although so far, I can tell that the 75-300mm won't be good for nail shots as it zooms in too far, even at the furthest away.

I spent the entire weekend before it arrived reading blogs and watching videos about DSLR photography. I wrote almost 20 pages of information and tips. No joke. LOL. And even then I still don't know that much.
I did learn to use SLR cameras {not DSLR} in grade 9 at school, but I really cannot remember anything I learned. Haha.

Here are some photos I took when I was playing around with the camera. {I did Photoshop them a little.}

{Excuse the chipped polish in the photos. :( I had been wearing KBShimmer Myth You Lots for about a day & a half when I took these pictures, and I had a couple chips. :(}

So please bear with me while I try to figure out how to get the best pictures with my new camera. :) I might still be using my old camera for a bit {Nikon Coolpix L310} until I'm comfortable with my new one. We'll see. :)

Thanks for visiting. ♥

New "Where To Buy" Page!

Hi guys!
I don't have a regular polish post for you today, but I just wanted to let you know that I've added a Where To Buy page to my blog!
I've added every nail polish brand to the page that I've shared on my blog so far, with links to where you can buy them. It's mostly helpful for Aussie girls, obviously, because that's where I live but for most brands I was able to find international stockists. :)
So if you've been wondering where you can get any of the brands I've shared on my blog then check out my Where To Buy page. I'll try to update it as often as possible!

Have a great weekend. ♥

Welcome To Ten Little Nubs!

Hello and welcome to Ten Little Nubs! :) Thanks so much for visiting my NEW blog!
My name is Elissa and my old blog is Lissa's Polish Addiction. I really wanted a fresh start and a new name, so I thought creating a new blog would be better than trying to change my old one. Lissa's Polish Addiction will still be there indefinitely, though. :)

So here we are! I'm really excited about this change and I hope that you will be too.
If you don't follow the nail blogging community very much then you might not understand it. A lot of girls refer to their nails as "nubbins" or "nubs" when they are super short with not a lot of, or no free edge (the white tip). And since I like to (usually) keep my nails at this length I thought it was a perfect name for my new blog!

Though I have a new name, I will be continuing with this blog exactly like my old one.
Every Monday I participate in the Aussie Nails Monday challenge which I created! Around 25-30 other polish obsessed ladies from the Aussie Nails Facebook group participate and it's a lot of fun and a great way to challenge yourself to try out new things and get outside your comfort zone.
For a couple of months I'm also participating in the Disney Princess Nail Art Challenge started by Bec from LacquerDreams every Saturday. So far we have already done "Jasmine".

I have created a few new social media accounts to go along with this blog and I would LOVE if you'd follow me there.
Twitter @tenlittlenubs
Instagram @tenlittlenubs
I'll also be continuing with my current YouTube channel. I just figured it would be easier to keep my YouTube the same.

You can also follow my blog via BlogLovin' to make sure you stay updated with all of my posts! :) Or you can also follow me via GFC if you prefer to follow blogs that way (see sidebar).

So again, I just want to really thank you for visiting and I hope you'll follow me. :)
