This Week | 29

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday. I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend so far!
I've thought about doing weekly recap posts for a while now. I've actually typed up a few over the past few weeks, but never got around to finishing and posting them. But today I am determined to actually get this one posted. In this post I'll be giving you some updates about my life, and what went on the past week. (Disclaimer: My life is not that interesting so don't expect anything crazy. Haha!) I may not do these posts every week. It depends if I have anything remotely exciting to talk about.
I had a pretty awesome week, really!

My gorgeous new Kate Spade agenda came in the mail on Wednesday. This is the 'Wellesley Deborah'. You might remember that I had the Wellesley zipped agenda {posts here and here} which I ended up swapping with someone, because I didn't really bond with it, and didn't really enjoy the zip style planner, although the planner was so beautiful, I couldn't justify keeping it if it didn't work for me. But I managed to snag the non-zipped version, for a really great price and had to have it. I totally adore it and I am so glad I found it!

My siblings are just finishing up school holidays, they'll be going back to school next week. I spent quite a bit of time over the past 2 weeks hanging out with them which was nice! We went to the movies and watched Rio 2 and How to Train Your Dragon 2 which were both pretty cute movies. I loved Rio 2 especially. :) If you know me, you'll probably know that going to the movies is one of my favourite things to do so I always love it.
I started journaling this week in my new Fauxdori notebook. I did a post on it here. I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. I've been using it for some random journaling, as well as a bit of a collage/scrapbook type thing. I'll also be incorporating the '30 Days of Lists' challenge into my Fauxdori!
My husband and I also received our wedding photos this week! That was definitely the most exciting thing that happened! I am absolutely in love with them and cannot wait to show some of them to you guys on here and Instagram, as well as put them up around our place. I'll probably be making some sort of scrapbook/album with them too (of course!) so I might show you guys that as well when I get around to it. I'm super excited and can't thank our amazing photographer, Rachael {Facebook page here}, enough! She did such an incredible job. ♥ (I also can't wait to update my little picture of myself on the left side of my blog with a wedding photo. Haha!)

I have put up some new goodies in my Etsy shop, also. Including some really cute sticky tabs and charms for your planner which I think are adorable.

 

Lastly, this might seem like a shock to a lot of you... But I have destashed most of my nail polish collection. My whole collection now fits into one bag. Yeah. I know that sounds insane if you know how much polish I had! I'm actually doing a polish sale, so if you are interested in buying any polishes, please email me at elissasinclair@hotmail.com and I will send you the link to my Google Doc where you can see what I have for sale! This Week. {23rd January - 1st March}

I seriously must have 'wedding brain' right now (you know how people say they have 'pregnancy brain' when they're pregnant? Yeah well I'm starting a new one. 'Wedding brain' - when your mind is consumed by wedding planning) and thought I finished writing & put this post up last night. I guess I didn't! Woops. My bad.

Anywho. It's March! Yay! I'm so excited that it's finally Autumn (technically. It probably won't feel like autumn until April really).

Anyway, let's talk about what went on in my week. :)

This Week: 17th - 22nd February.

I decided to move my This Week posts back to Saturdays. Sorry for all the mucking around, haha. I just found myself having absolutely no time to finish my post on Sunday nights, so Saturday is much easier for me.

Love Month. Day 16: This Week. {Feb 10th-16th}

Hi friends! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I'm sorry that this post is going up a day late, once again. *sigh* Maybe doing these posts on Sundays wasn't my best idea as Sundays are probably my busiest day of the week. Woops. :P

I had a fairly stressful week, I guess. Wedding stuff is kinda freaking me out, and taking over all of my thoughts haha. I'm feeling overwhelmed and stressed most of the time. When people said that wedding planning was stressful, I was like pshhhh, it won't be like that for us. But they were right. Haha. Even though Russ and I are pretty laid back and not fussed about half of the stuff for the wedding, it's still challenging. There's just so much to do and I don't know where to start. But I know that we'll eventually get through it. :) As of Saturday, there was 8 weeks to go! :D

Speaking of wedding stuff; I picked up my dress on Monday! I've taken a peek at it a few times (well, it's not like I'm not allowed to look at it, but I'm trying not to stare at it too much haha!). I love it so much. :)

We had the strangest weather here this week. It started off hot, then got rainy and cooler. So strange! It's now getting a bit warmer, though.

Tonight I should have another blog post for you guys! I'm so sorry that I haven't been very consistent with Love Month. I didn't really expect to be so busy lately. Haha.

Love Month. Day 9: This Week. {Feb 3rd-9th}

Hello my lovelies. I'm so sorry, this post was supposed to go up yesterday evening, ugh! I didn't find the time to complete the post until now, though. My post for today is still coming, too. :( I feel like a bit of a failure since I was so excited for this series but I let a few days slip away from me. *sigh* Oh well!

I love that we got quite a bit of wedding planning done this week. I don't feel like we actually ticked a lot off our list, but we had some ideas and did quite a bit of researching things, so we're one step closer to ticking some stuff off. Haha.
We're also now less than 70 days away from getting married. (oh. my. gosh!)
A highlight from the week was going bowling with 2 of our good friends that we don't see often; that was really fun and great to see them. :)
I downloaded the animated series of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I'm going to be spending the next few weeks reliving my childhood I reckon. ;)
I love that we're now in my second favourite month of the year! It's my birthday on the 26th of this month, and I also really like Valentine's Day (hence Love Month). I'm extremely excited about this Love Month series, by the way! I've been working really hard on it this week.
Even though I'm happy we're now in my favourite month, I'm also pretty excited for the month to be over, because in March it will be crazy wedding planning & I'll be getting ready to move out! Eep!
We're having another heat wave again. *sigh* I'm rather over summer at this point and cannot wait for it to get a little cooler. I miss hoodies, trackies and socks. I discovered an amazing song this week, by Hunter Hayes. He's one of my absolute favourite singers, and he sang this song at the Grammys. It's called Invisible, and you can see the lyric video here.

This week. {January 19-25}

Hello friends. :) Hope you're having a nice weekend so far.

This was the last week of my siblings being on summer holidays. It makes me a bit sad, because the summer holidays are always fun even though I'm not in school anymore.

Quite a bit of the week was spent doing wedding planning. I'm pretty happy with how it's coming along now that we're getting stuck into it!
I'm still working on a wedding planning update post. If you've been waiting for it, I'm sorry! It's still coming, I promise!

This week I caught up on The Carrie Diaries, which is becoming one of my favourite TV shows, and I also made a couple of nail polishes (1,2).

I finally purchased the 'Honey' Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stain. I've been hearing about it for ages, and decided I needed to have it. It's a pretty everyday pink colour.

The weather was much nicer this week, compared to the awful heat wave we had last week. But unfortunately, it's going to be stinking hot again next week. So I'm sure I'll have something to say about that in next week's post.

This week. {January 12-18}

I have wanted to do a series like this on my blog for a while and I thought I would just take a leap of faith and try it! :) 'This week' posts will pretty much be a roundup of my week. I'll share a few highlights, some things that went on in the week and some photos throughout the week! And I think I'll be posting these on Saturdays. Just a warning though, it will probably be mostly wedding related things in these posts until after the wedding, obviously haha.
I'll start with my low-light, and then end the post on a happier note. My low-light was definitely the heat. I have been dying all week in this heatwave we have had. Thursday was supposed to hit the highest temperature ever in Adelaide, but it didn't. It was still extremely hot, though. We had no air conditioner for most of the week which was awful! But thankfully it's fixed now and works pretty well. And thankfully the weather has cooled down a bit too. The next week will still be pretty warm but not as hot so I'm happy about that.

My number one highlight of the week was definitely going dress shopping for the wedding! :D I went twice, and I picked out my dress today! ♥ Honestly I waited a bit too long to start dress shopping and I wish I'd been at least a month or two earlier. There's less than 3 months til our wedding now! I know that'll sound crazy to a lot of people haha. I did have to pick a dress that could be bought off the rack, but that didn't bother me. I'm really happy with the dress I chose! Eeeep. :D Another highlight was buying some decorations for the wedding too! We found some things that I adore and I think will look adorable.
