Love Month. Day 3: V-Day Polish Picks.

Hi guys! For the third day of Love Month, I thought I'd share my favourite polishes for Valentine's Day with you. I have quite a few to share, so I'll get right into it!

Pink and red are obviously the most popular colours for Valentine's Day, and I think OPI does pinks and reds the best.

Three of my favourite light pinks from OPI are Mod About You - a very pale, opaque baby pink, Pink Friday - a classic lighter Barbie pink, and Chic From Ears to Tail - another pastel pink, but with a subtle silver shimmer (I only have a mini - I need the full size!).

If you're into a more sheer pink, my favourite is I Theodora You, also from OPI.

If you're into textured polishes, OPI's Liquid Sand in Magazine Cover Mouse is a pretty red with a gold shimmer.
A classic hot pink that I love is Kiss Me On My Tulips. Or if you're more of a lavender girl, you can't go past Lucky Lucky Lavender.

Another beautiful hot pink, with a purple undertone is Flirt by piCture pOlish (appropriate name for V-Day! ;)). This one also has a flawless formula. You can get away with just one coat!

February is summer time here in Aussieland, so I had to include a nice neon pink. My favourite is Bottoms Up by China Glaze. The formula on this one is less than perfect, so it will take a bit of patience, but the end result is awesome.

A classic bright red option is Ever Reddy by Covergirl, from the Outlast Stay Brilliant line. This one is available pretty much everywhere. It has a jelly-ish sort of finish.

For the glitter gals! Ulta3 Disco Fever is a great red glitter that's pretty easy to find, and only $2! It would look cute over any of the light pink polishes I mentioned above, or a red.

Haley Good Lookin' is a pretty rosy pink glitter from Nicole by OPI. NOPI is now available at most Target and Woolworths stores here in Australia, so it's fairly easy to get your hands on, if you come across a well stocked stand! This would go well over any colour, really. It has great coverage with just one coat, also.

If you prefer a purple look, China Glaze's Put a Bow On It from the 2013 Holiday collection is a nice full coverage glitter.

Last but not least, some indie glitter options!

Hearts Aflutter is a cute glitter mix that Gloss n Sparkle released for Valentine's Day last year. It's an assortment of pink, lilac and silver glitters in a clear base. It includes cute shapes like hearts and butterflies also. Ruby Soho by Emily de Molly is a nice red glitter in different sizes that would look pretty over a baby pink.
And for the hot pink lovers, Blossom by Love Thy Polish is a great mix of hot pink holographic glitters.

I hope this post helped you decide what polish you might wear for Valentine's Day, or just gave you some new polishes to add to your wish list. ;)

What are your favourites for V-Day?! Let me know in a comment. :)

Emily de Molly Seeing Red

Hi guys! Happy weekend, hope it's a great one :)

Last week the sun was showing itself a bit more and the weather warmed up a little, so I decided to swatch the only holo that was in my untrieds basket! I honestly don't really have many holos in my collection. I used to, but I went off them for a while, and sold most, because I got annoyed with the fact that most of them look ugly in the shade LOL. But I'm in love with them lately because they're just too pretty to resist. :)

This is Seeing Red by Emily de Molly. It's a red with a strong linear holographic sparkle. It sort of has a pink undertone also. This beauty was almost opaque in just one coat, but I did two of course, because I always do. Haha. I added top coat and it didn't dull the holo sparkle either, which is nice. :) I love that this one doesn't have a grey look in the shade, which many holographic polishes do. It just looks like a shimmery red in the shade.
Trust me that this polish is much more holo in person, my camera just sucks at picking it up. :(

This is the only holo I own by Emily de Molly and she has them in almost every colour you can think of. I definitely need some more of these in my life!

I can't wait to wear more holos in the summer time. :D
What are your favourite holographic polishes?! I would love to know.

Thanks for visiting ♥

Hey guys! :) I hope you're all having a great week! Just wanted to let you know that today I'm guest posting for Michelle from LabMuffin!
I'm super excited about this because Michelle was one of the first nail/beauty bloggers I started following! :D So it's really awesome for me to be able to guest post for her today.

So please head on over to her blog to check out my post! And if you aren't already following her (you're crazy if you aren't! ;)) then do it! :D

For my post I did some leopard (or is it cheetah..? Idk!) print inspired by my new pyjamas, using all off OPI polishes! :D

Hope you enjoy the post! And make sure you do follow Michelle's blog! She's awesome. :)

Emily de Molly Oceanic Forces

Hey guys! Happy weekend! I have a polish to show you that I wore a week ago when I went to meet up with some other polish lovers. :) We had a great day and I came home with many new pretties! (Keep your eye out for those on the blog + more soon! Eep!)

Emily de Molly's Oceanic Forces is like the teal brother (or sister? Maybe a tomboy?) to Cosmic Forces. It's a teal jelly (leaning mostly green) with lots of holographic glitter in different sizes. I cannot get enough of those huge holo dots! :) They're so pretty.
I layered 2 coats of Oceanic Forces over 1 coat of OPI Ski Teal We Drop. But it really didn't need a base colour. I could've easily done 2 coats of Oceanic Forces alone. I actually sort of wished I had, because my nails looked super dark and I'm not a huge fan of dark, almost black nails on myself. :( In the sun it was okay, though. :)
For my top coat I did 1 coat of Essence Gel Look top coat & 1 coat of Seche Vite.

Under any bright lighting my nails looked suuuuuper sparkly. :D But I didn't get a picture of this in the sunlight unfortunately. :(

For Aussies, Emily de Molly polishes are available on the EdM Etsy shop, as well as Femme Fatale Cosmetics. (For anyone international there is a list of international etailers that stock the polishes on the Etsy store description. :))

Are you lucky enough to own one or both (Oceanic or Cosmic Forces) of these sought after indies? :D I'm so happy I was able to snag a bottle of both! They're amazing so if you have the chance, don't think twice about it, you need both of them!

Emily de Molly Sweet As

Hey there! Just a short little post for you today. :)
I have a super cute polish from Emily de Molly to show you today! I knew I needed this one as soon as I saw it.
This is Sweet As. Sweet As is a light pink base, with large neon pink hex glitters, smaller silver hex glitters and teeny purple and white glitters. This polish is absolutely adorable! :) And I love the name. I use the word "sweet!" a lot. Haha.
I used 2 coats of Sweet As (with top coat) and it was perfectly opaque for me! :)

Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces

Hey guys! Today I have a polish from Emily de Molly to show you!
This is Cosmic Forces and I believe that this is a quite sought after color. :D I'm so glad to have this beauty in my collection.
Cosmic Forces is a plum purple jelly base with pink and purple glitters throughout and I think the main reason I wanted this... is the awesome huge holographic circle glitters! :D They just look so cool! Haha.
I used 2 coats of Cosmic Forces, with 1 coat of Essence Gel Look top coat + 1 coat of Seche Vite.
The large circles do stick up a little on the nail, they don't really curve with the nail but that doesn't really bother me since I adore the overall look. They're also a little hard to get out of the bottle since they are large they tend to sink but I left the bottle upside down for a few minutes before applying it and gave it a little shake and then had no problem getting some awesome holo dots. ;)
You can find Emily de Molly polishes on her Etsy store, but if you're not in Aus you can find them on Llarowe, Shoppe Eclecticco and Norway Nails which all ship worldwide.

Green - Aussie Nails Monday

Hello there :) Hope you had a nice weekend!
Shoutout to my brother who turns 17 today. :D Happy birthday bro!

Today's Aussie Nails Monday theme is Green. I did a "skitlette" manicure (a la ChitChat Nails ;)). I'm obsessed with doing manis like this now! It's soo fun.
The 'green' polish I used here is Covergirl's Mint Mojito. It was more green in the bottle... It's a bit more of an aqua-ish green but I adore this colour.
On my middle finger my white base is Sinful Colors Snow Me White, and I stamped with BornPretty QA28 plate, and BornPretty black stamping polish. (I redid this nail THREE times because the stamping kept turning out terrible - it's still not perfect but it's definitely better than the two other fails!)
On my ring finger I've used OPI's What Wizardry is This? which is a olive-y brown liquid sand finish, from the Oz collection. I absolutely love this polish and all of the liquid sand polishes. I love brown and light green/blue colours together, too.
On my pinky I topped Covergirl Mint Mojito with Emily de Molly Black and White Love Affair.

*Please excuse my terrible dry cuticles - I took these pictures in a rush before leaving the house and throughout the day when I was bored, I picked all of the polish off and couldn't take any more photos!*

Emily de Molly "Harmony"

Hello everyone! Welcome to my first proper post on my new blog! I am very excited for this new change. :) It will take a bit of getting used to, of course, so I hope you'll bear with me. Today I'll be showing you a polish I wore a few days ago.

This is Emily De Molly's "Harmony". It is a light grey creme/jelly base that has a slight shimmer to it, with teal, purple and white larger hex glitters as well as smaller lavender glitters.
I've done 2 coats of "Harmony". :)

*Please excuse the fact that my hands look a different colour in each photo here.*
After wearing this for about a day, I decided I wanted to try out my new Winstonia plates and stamp over it. I used plate W111 and silver. I'm not an expert stamper as you can see but I still really like the way this looks.
Emily de Molly polishes are available on Etsy for anyone in Australia, but if you're not, then you can check out Shoppe Eclecticco or Llarowe.
Hope you enjoyed this post and please follow my blog for more posts! :)
